This recipe is packed with flavor and is so easy to make. It’s pretty hands off so I love making it on the days where I have a lot of things to do and don’t have enough time to stand right next to the stove. This recipe was created with me craving chicken wings one day and making the best of what I had on hand. It is saucy just like a chicken wing so it did satisfy my craving somewhat. It is baked in the oven and later coated with sauce and baked again. This creates a juicy and saucy chicken that you don’t need to feel guilty about! Now, let’s get cookin’!
Ingredients:
-8 chicken legs, cut in half and scored on all sides
-1 1/2 tsp of salt
-2 tsp of black pepper
-2 tsp of garlic powder
-3 tsp of baking powder
-3 tsp of oil
-1 cup of your favorite wing sauce ( I like BBQ sauce, mixed with some Siracha)
Directions:
1). Prheat your oven to 450 degrees Farenheight.
2). Pat down your chicken with paper towels until it is dry to the touch.
3). Massage all ingredients and oil onto the chicken until well coated.
4). Place chicken on a baking sheet, use a wire wrack if you have one! Make sure to space the chicken out and use two trays. You don’t want the chicken to be crowded and steam instead of roast.
5). After 20 minutes, flip your chicken.
6). After 15 minutes, take your chicken out of the oven and place it into a large bowl and add the sauce. Mix to combine.
7). Once sauce evenly coats all of the chicken, place chicken back into the baking pans and place it into the oven for 6 minutes.
8). After 6 minutes, turn off the oven and flip the chicken and leave the chicken in for another 6 minutes.
9). Let it rest for 10 minutes and Enjoy!
