Parmesan Baked Tilapia

This recipe is a suprisingly healthy take on the semi decadent classic. I love making this when I am craving something cheesy but that is still semi healthy. If you’re not a big fan of fish, I highly recommend this recipe since it changes the texture and gives it a familiar cheesy flavor. I also use almond flour to give it a lighter texture and make it more caloricly appealing 🙂

This recipe is also perfect for weeknight meal since it cooks with in 30 minutes!

Yeilds 4 Servings

-8 fillets of Tilapia, patted dry

-1/4 cup of yogurt

-1 tsp of lemon juice

-1 tsp of salt

-1 tsp of black pepper

-1/2 cup of almond flour

-1/4 a cup of grated Parmesan cheese

-1 tsp of Italian Seasoning

-1/2 tsp of garlic powder

1). Preheat your oven to 400 Degrees Farenheit

2). Pat your fish dry with paper towels and drizzle with olive oil and a sprinkle of salt on both sides and place on a foil lined baking tray.

3). Mix together your yogurt and lemon juice and spoon over the fillets. You might have some extra and that’s totally fine. You just want to place a thin layer for the cheese and almond flour to stick to.

4). In a seperate bowl, mix together almond flour, parmesan cheese and all of the seasonings.

5). Use your fingers to spread this dry mixture over the fillets and press it in. You’ll want to create a thick layer of cheesy, almondy goodness!

6).Optional: Use an oil spray and lightly spray each fish before placing in the oven. This makes it extra crunchy!

7). Bake your fillets for 10 to 12 minutes, until fully cooked and Enjoy!
