This salmon recipe is super delicious and super easy to make! It comes together super fast and it is bursting with citrus flavor that is rounded out with the sweetness of the honey and the umaminess of the soy sauce. The lemons in the recipe get candied in the cooking process and are one of my favorite parts to this recipe. I love making this recipe on busy week nights when I don’t want to cook but have to. This salmon is delicious by itself but can also be paired with some rice.
Ingredients:
-2 lbs of salmon. I like getting the farm raised one from Trader Joes
-1/4 cup of honey
-1/4 cup of lemon juice
-1/2 cup of soy sauce
-1 tsp of minced garlic
-1 tsp black pepper
-1 tsp red chilli powder
-1 sliced lemon
Directions:
1). In a non stick pan, on medium high heat, place the fish skin side down and let it cook on one side for 5 minutes.
2). While the salmon is cooking, place the sliced lemons on the pan.
3). Create the sauce : lemon juice, honey and soy sauce.
4). Flip the salmon and add your minced garlic. Let this cook for 5 minutes.
5). After 30 seconds of adding the minced garlic, add in the sauce. Cook this on medium heat.
6). Cook this for 10 minutes, allowing your sauce to thicken up.
7). Once your sauce has thickened up , serve and enjoy!
