Ginger Paste

Here is a ginger paste recipe that’s a lot more flavorful than the kind you buy at the store and is super easy to make! Ginger is a staple ingredient in many Pakistani recipes and many people opt for the store bought ginger pastes to make the cooking process easier. While the storebought ginger paste variety definitely makes things easier, it lacks the punch that fresh ginger has. By making it yourself, your homemade ginger paste will have a stronger and fresher taste. The best part about making it yourself is that you’ll know exactly what you’re putting in your body!

All you need is some ginger and some oil. The oil helps preserve the ginger and keep it fresh.


-1 pound of ginger (or 4 cups of chopped ginger)

-2 tablespoons of any neutral tasting oil


-Add both ingredients to a food processor and blitz away! Once a paste forms, transfer it into an airtight jar and store in the fridge for up to 3 months.
